Summer is gone and now tans are slowly starting to fade, but it doesn’t matter as long as we have a way to fake it, right? I’ve always been a fan of a slightly bronzed skin, since it makes me look healthier and now that fall is making its way, it is time to go back to my bronzers. Some bronzers can be really expensive, but I’ve found myself always going back to my inexpensive ones and I want to share them with you, in case you are in a hunt for a new one that won’t break the bank.
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder in ‘Sunny’ – The drugstore bronzer by excellence, it is warm, if you have cool undertones it may look a little orange or may not show on darker skin since it is quite subtle, it gives the perfect tan for light to medium skintones without looking like you are wearing makeup. I heard they changed the formulation and now it is more buttery but great as always!
Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Bronzer in ‘Miami Strip’ – If you are into an all over glowy look, this is the bronzer for you! I use all the strips but people with darker skintones can use the bottom shades only and people with lighter skin can use the ones on the top. You can also multitask and use it as eyeshadow or highlighter, which I bet will look beautiful on deeper skintones. It is shimmery but it is finely melted, you can’t see chucks of shimmer or glitter, just makes you look really radiant.
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in ‘Medium Matte’ – I don’t have much to say about this one, but it is really good, the powder is buttery and the shades are perfect, there are three shades, one lighter and one darker, it isn’t too warm or too cool, and they are really flattering on various skintones without looking orange, doesn’t matter how pale you are!
E.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in ‘St. Lucia’ – This duo is really famous for being supposedly a dupe for NARS Orgasm and Laguna, and I can’t say anything about the bronzer since I haven’t used Laguna but the blush is not an exact dupe for Orgasm, yet it looks similar on the cheeks (I like it even more, it doesn’t have the crazy chunks of glitter). On to the bronzer, it is deeper than all the others I’ve mentioned and I like it more as a contour, the pigmentation is amazing and you even have to be a little careful of not picking much product, a little goes a long way!
Those are my favorites, not only my favorite budget bronzers, but my favorite bronzers in general, I have some highend ones and I’ve found myself never reaching for them, so I hope that can give you an idea of how much I love these! Hope you can follow me on my new instagram at @ddmangoblog as an easier way to keep in touch. Love you so much, guys! I would also love to know which are your favorite drugstore bronzers!
