L.A. GIRL GLAZED LIP PAINT REVIEW

lunes, 17 de agosto de 2015

First of all, I’m sorry for being a little MIA, but life happened and I didn’t have enough time to post, but I’ll try to get back on track this week. Since school already started, I will try to post every other day at least.

Now, going into the product, the Glazed Lip Paints by L.A. Girl claim to have super intense color and extra glossy finish. The packaging looks really similar to the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks but they are different products, as the last ones have a satin finish. I mentioned them in my July Favorites and my Mini Haul.

They are indeed extremely glossy and surprisingly pigmented and intense, but they are a little bit hard to apply.

The applicator is completely made of plastic, which applies them very messily, with no precision at all. I have to use a lip brush every time I use them and have to carry it in my bag just in case I want to reapply the product, which sometimes turns me off from wearing them.

If you apply it directly from the applicator, your will probably get a lot of product and it will be hard to fix, so what I do is that I first apply a tiny bit of product with a lip brush as a “base” and after it sets a little bit, I go on with another coat to make it look more opaque.

The shade range is amazing, Coy (lilac), and Hot Mess (orange), are some of the original shades and Bombshell (bright pink) is one of the most recent ones. I find that the formula changed a little, since Bombshell is actually easier to apply and more opaque. I find that with Coy and Hot Mess, sometimes if you keep applying them, they will move the layer from behind and get messy easier.

They will stay put if you do nothing involving touching your lips and they will stay glossy, but they move easily if your hair gets stuck on them, or if you eat and drink, transferring into everything, which is a shame. I use them when I do something that doesn’t include eating and drinking.  When they wear off, they leave just a tiny bit of color on your lips, they don’t stain much.

Overall, I have a love-hate relationship with these lipsticks. Have you tried them? If so, did you like them? Please, let me know.

Thank you for reading!

  1. I like the bombshell! Looks good! And gorgeous on you ^ ^
Some reviews said that this one is kinda dupe of Too Faced. But when I compared both items, totally different. And if I may say, preferable Too Faced.
    Thank you for sharing Cynthia!
